Microsoft Teams Migration SME – VoiceAn experienced
Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice Migration Expert to lead and support enterprise telephony migration projects from legacy voice platforms such as
Cisco Unified Communications Manager to
Microsoft Teams Phone System. The role involves designing, implementing, and migrating enterprise voice solutions including
Operator Connect, Microsoft Calling Plan, and Direct Routing.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead
end-to-end voice migration projects from legacy PBX / CUCM environments to Microsoft Teams Telephony.Design and implement
Teams Phone architecture, including dial plans, voice routing policies, and PSTN connectivity.Configure and manage
Enterprise Voice policies, Auto Attendants, Call Queues, and calling policies in Microsoft Teams.Implement PSTN connectivity using
Operator Connect, Microsoft Calling Plan, or Direct Routing.Perform
voice discovery and assessment including DID inventory, SIP trunks, dial plans, and gateway configurations.Support
number porting activities and integration with telecom service providers.Assist with deployment and configuration of
Microsoft Teams certified desk phones and Teams Rooms devices.Conduct
pilot migrations, phased user migrations, and final cutover activities.Perform
voice quality testing, call routing validation, and troubleshooting.Provide
post-migration support (Hypercare) and ensure service stability.Deliver
technical documentation and knowledge transfer sessions to customer IT teams.
Required SkillsStrong experience in
Microsoft Teams Phone System (Enterprise Voice).Hands-on experience with
Operator Connect, Direct Routing, and Microsoft Calling Plan.Experience migrating telephony systems from
Cisco CUCM or other PBX platforms.Knowledge of
SIP, SBCs, PSTN integration, dial plans, and voice routing.Experience with
AudioCodes / Ribbon SBCs and telecom integrations - OptionalUnderstanding of
QoS, network readiness, and voice traffic optimization.Experience configuring
Auto Attendants, Call Queues, and Voice Policies in Microsoft Teams.
Preferred SkillsExperience working on
large-scale telephony migrations (1000+ users).Experience with
Microsoft Teams Rooms and Teams-certified devices.Familiarity with
global telecom regulations (EMEA, AMEA, China regions).Experience working in
manufacturing or production plant environments.
Certifications (Preferred)Microsoft
Teams Administrator AssociateExperience5–10 years of experience in
Unified Communications / Voice solutions.Minimum
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Voice implementations and migrations.Voice migration architecture and design documentsDial plan and PSTN integration configurationSuccessful migration of users to
