Key Accountabilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of enterprise database platforms using Oracle and PostgreSQL across development, staging, and production environments.
- Manage and maintain high availability database architectures including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Oracle GoldenGate, and PostgreSQL replication to ensure maximum uptime and system reliability.
- Provide technical guidance to the database team for database administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Manage production database operations, ensuring system stability, performance optimization, and adherence to SLA requirements.
- Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, migrations, and disaster recovery strategies while minimizing downtime and operational risks.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud teams to design database solutions aligned with business and application requirements.
- Lead incident management and root cause analysis (RCA) for critical database issues and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure database security, compliance, backup, and recovery mechanisms are implemented to safeguard data and maintain business continuity.
- Drive automation, monitoring improvements, and operational best practices to enhance database reliability and efficiency.

- Experience managing high transaction volume systems (telecom or financial platforms)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
