I'm reaching out regarding a Sr. Specialist Finance & BPC role with a top Indian infrastructure conglomerate (Real Estate, Airports, & Energy).
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Specialist - Finance & BPC to drive the effective functioning, enhancement, and governance of our SAP Finance (HANA) modules across the GMR Group. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring the seamless operation of business-critical financial processes.
You will manage system configurations, integrations, and compliance, while leading exciting automation, reporting, and process optimization initiatives across our diverse business units.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Finance Operations & Vendor Management: Oversee end-to-end SAP Finance HANA module operations across business entities to ensure maximum system availability and continuity. Manage the full ticket lifecycle (incident, service, and change requests) within strict SLAs. Coordinate financial closing activities (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and maintain the accuracy of financial master data (GL, tax codes, cost/profit centers).
- Integration & Compliance Process Mapping: Maintain seamless integrations between SAP HANA, Ariba, SuccessFactors, and third-party platforms. Map statutory and regulatory requirements (GST, SEZ, TDS) into the system and ensure alignment with corporate policies.
- Business Process Enhancements: Partner with Group and Business Finance teams to identify inefficiencies, propose automation for financial reporting/internal MIS, and lead version upgrades, patches, and UAT/go-live cycles.
- Governance & Audit Readiness: Align SAP controls with Segregation of Duties (SoD), access governance, and financial compliance frameworks. Partner with IT security and internal audit to manage risks and implement audit recommendations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Material Management (MM), HR, Project Systems (PS), and other modules to manage cross-functional process flows. Conduct training and knowledge sessions for end-users.
Education & Certifications:
- Required: B.E. / B. Tech / MCA or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Preferred: SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA.
Experience:
- 10–15 years of hands-on experience in SAP Finance operations and support roles.
- Strong exposure to large-scale shared services or multi-business-unit environments is highly preferred.
