About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at JiBe ERP. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the development of our cutting-edge ERP solutions and directly impact the growth of our organization. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical focal point within an agile development environment, combining hands-on coding with strategic design responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions that meet the evolving needs of the shipping industry. Additionally, you will provide technical leadership by mentoring team members, ensuring adherence to best practices, and maintaining high standards for development and delivery processes.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a minimum of 7 years of comprehensive software development experience, with a focus on backend or full-stack development. At least 2 years of experience should be in a web solutions lead developer or technical lead capacity, managing large-scale, distributed systems built on cloud computing infrastructure. Proficiency in Node.js is essential, with at least 3 years of hands-on development and design experience. Candidates must also have a minimum of 2 years working with relational databases, demonstrating strong database design and query optimization skills. Practical experience with microservices architecture, development quality methodologies, and testing frameworks is required. A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and SOLID principles is vital. Exceptional interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills are necessary, along with meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities. The role requires a self-driven individual who can work effectively with minimal supervision within a diverse team. Fluency in verbal and written English communication is mandatory. Candidates should also be willing to evolve into full-stack developers while maintaining a focus on backend development.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical focal point for development efforts within an agile team, actively participating in coding, design, and architectural decisions.

- Offer technical leadership by coaching and mentoring junior and senior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to uphold quality standards.

- Assist in the transition towards full-stack development by gradually expanding skill sets while maintaining core backend responsibilities.
