Role Description The Sr Site Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Sr Site Engineer will oversee daily site operations, coordinate with project teams and vendors, and ensure work is executed in accordance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. Responsibilities include monitoring construction progress, resolving technical issues, managing resources and schedules, and preparing regular status reports. The role involves supervising site staff, conducting inspections, and implementing best practices to optimize efficiency and minimize risks. The Sr Site Engineer will also support planning, cost control, and compliance activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and withi
n budget.Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of civil/structural engineering principles and construction practices.
- Experience in site supervision, project coordination, and contractor/vendor management.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements for construction sites.
- Effective communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to analyze problems, make sound decisions, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with using project management tools and basic office software (e.g., MS Office, documentation tools).
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field; prior experience in a senior site role is strongly preferred.
