Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP MM Consultant with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA MM (Materials Management) to join our team in Bangalore.
The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience in configuring, implementing, supporting, and optimizing SAP MM solutions, along with strong business process knowledge in procurement, inventory management, material master, and supply chain operations.
This role requires someone who can work closely with business users, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable SAP MM solutions and support business transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration, customization, and implementation of the SAP MM module to support procurement and inventory management processes.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP MM functional solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Handle end-to-end SAP MM business processes, including:
- Procurement Cycle
- Purchase Requisitions
- Purchase Orders
- STO (One Step / Two Step)
- Inbound Delivery
- Goods Receipts
- Sales Order
- Billing
- IDOCs
- Jobs
- Master Data
- Manage and support inventory management processes, including:
- Stock Transfers
- Goods Movement
- Inventory Reconciliation
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to SAP MM configurations, workflows, interfaces, and custom developments.
- Collaborate closely with Finance, Logistics, Production Planning, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration across SAP modules.
- Conduct system testing, integration testing, data validation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enhancements and project deliverables.
- Support implementation activities including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, cutover, go-live, and post-production support.
- Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, user manuals, and training materials.
- Deliver end-user training and support to ensure effective adoption of SAP MM functionalities.
- Stay updated on the latest SAP S/4HANA enhancements, updates, and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing business processes and system design.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP MM with strong experience in implementation, configuration, and support.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Procurement Process
- Inventory Management
- Material Master Data
- Invoice Verification
- Purchase Management
- Goods Movement
- Stock Transfer Process
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM master data and transactional processes.
- Experience in handling end-to-end SAP MM lifecycle activities.
- Ability to work independently on complex business requirements and support issues.
- Strong experience in business requirement analysis and converting them into SAP MM solutions.
- Experience in system testing, data validation, defect resolution, and UAT support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root cause and provide sustainable solutions.
- Good understanding of integration points between SAP MM and other SAP modules.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA is preferred.
- SAP MM / SD certification is an added advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to related SAP modules such as:
- SAP SD (Sales and Distribution)
- SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling)
- Experience in cross-functional SAP process integration
- Project management experience or certification is an advantage.
- Experience with SAP data migration tools and techniques
- Ability to work in a client-facing and fast-paced project environment
