Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP FICO Consultant with strong expertise in Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) processing and end-to-end financial processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration, bank integrations, and automation of financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Configuration
- Lead SAP FICO implementations and enhancements (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting)
- Configure and support Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) processing
- Set up bank communication, payment methods, and house bank configurations
- Configure automatic clearing rules, posting rules, and reconciliation accounts
- Work on bank integration using formats like MT940, BAI2, CAMT.053
Banking & Integration
- Integrate SAP with banks using EBS and payment interfaces
- Configure and troubleshoot bank statement processing and error handling
- Collaborate with technical teams for IDoc, API, or middleware-based integrations
- Ensure seamless reconciliation between bank statements and SAP postings
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Gather requirements from Finance, Treasury, and Accounting teams
- Translate business needs into functional specifications
- Optimize financial and reconciliation processes
Testing & QA
- Perform Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT for FICO and EBS processes
- Validate bank statement processing and posting accuracy
- Identify and resolve defects
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide post-go-live support and hypercare
- Troubleshoot EBS issues such as unmatched transactions or posting failures
- Train end-users and maintain documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology
- 6+ years of SAP FICO experience with strong EBS expertise
- Hands-on experience in GL, AP, AR, and Bank Accounting
- Strong knowledge of EBS configuration and bank statement formats (MT940, CAMT.053, BAI2)
- Experience with automatic clearing, posting rules, and reconciliation
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance
- Understanding of integration concepts (IDocs, APIs, middleware)
