Role Description The Sr. Sales Executive – Assistant Territory Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Aurangabad. This role is responsible for driving sales of the company’s publications within the assigned territory, including identifying and developing new business opportunities with bookstores, institutions, distributors, and corporate clients. The position involves regularly visiting customers, presenting the product portfolio, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely order fulfillment and payment collection. The role also includes monitoring market trends, gathering competitive intelligence, preparing sales forecasts and reports, and supporting territory-level promotional activities, events, and campaigns. The Sr. Sales Executive – Assistant Territory Manager will collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, editorial, and logistics to ensure customer satisfaction and sustainable revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in field sales, territory management, or business development, ideally in publishing, education, FMCG, or related industries.
- Strong skills in client relationship management, account servicing, and negotiation, with the ability to build long-term partnerships.
- Ability to plan and execute territory sales strategies, including pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Comfort with basic digital tools (CRM systems, spreadsheets, presentation software) to track leads, orders, and performance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional regional language proficiency is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a disciplined approach to travel, follow-ups, and documentation.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory and work on-site with customers and partners.
- Interest in books, education, and knowledge-driven products, with a customer-centric and ethical approach to sales.
