Position – Sr. Research Officer
Location - Adyar, Chennai
Role Overview
The Sr. Research Officer will play a key role in supporting MHFA India’s research, training, and program development and management. The individual will be responsible for creating impactful learning content, contributing to innovative mental health programs, managing research activities, and coordinating with clients and stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and content development skills, along with a expertise in mental health , research and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Course Development
- Design, develop, and review training materials, short courses, presentations, manuals, and learning resources for MHFA India programs.
- Conduct research to ensure training content is evidence-based, engaging, and aligned with current mental health practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create interactive and learner-friendly educational modules for corporate, academic, and community audiences.
Program Development & Innovation
- Assist in conceptualizing and developing innovative mental health and well-being programs for different target groups.
- Contribute ideas and strategies to enhance the effectiveness and reach of MHFA India initiatives.
- Support the implementation and evaluation of newly launched programs and projects.
Research Project Management
- Lead and coordinate research projects related to mental health, workplace well-being, training effectiveness, and related areas.
- Conduct literature reviews, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and report preparation.
- Ensure research activities are carried out ethically and within defined timelines.
- Prepare research summaries, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Recognition Program Management
- Manage MHFA India’s Recognition Program, including planning, coordination, documentation, and communication with participating organizations or individuals.
- Maintain records, track progress, and ensure smooth execution of recognition-related activities.
- Coordinate with different departments and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of program requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Reach out to clients, institutions, and organizations regarding MHFA India programs and services.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide information, respond to queries, and support client engagement activities.
- Assist in presentations, meetings, and discussions related to training and research initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Psychology/ Clinical Psychology/ Psychiatric Social Work/ Rehabilitation Psychology/ Mental health education is mandatory.
- Prior knowledge or experience in research methodologies, data analysis, and report writing.
- Experience in developing training content, educational resources, or course materials is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in MS Office, online learning tools, research tools, and digital platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong analytical thinking, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Passion for mental health awareness, education, and research.
