About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Developer with a strong background in risk management systems to join our dynamic technology team at Luxoft India. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on development experience in front-office risk, market risk, or credit risk platforms, coupled with deep technical proficiency in Python, MongoDB, SQL Server, and real-time messaging platforms such as Kafka and/or IBM MQ. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on mission-critical risk systems that support our clients in managing their financial risk exposures effectively. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with risk managers, quantitative analysts, and front office stakeholders to design, develop, and enhance robust risk management applications that meet regulatory standards and operational excellence.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a developer within financial services, particularly in front office risk, credit risk, or market risk technology teams. A strong programming background in Python and database development using MongoDB and SQL Server is essential. Candidates should have a solid understanding of risk data models, including Value at Risk (VaR), Potential Future Exposure (PFE), credit exposure, and market risk sensitivities. Experience with real-time messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ is required. Familiarity with risk analytics libraries, pricing models, or integration with vendor risk engines like Murex, Calypso, or proprietary systems is highly desirable. Candidates should also have experience working within agile development environments using source control tools like Git, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is mandatory, with an advanced degree considered a plus.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance high-performance risk management applications utilizing Python and C++. Collaborate effectively with risk managers, quantitative analysts, and front office stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions. Implement and support risk analytics engines, including scenario analysis, stress testing, and real-time market data ingestion systems. Develop microservices and APIs using Python, ensuring seamless integration with MongoDB and SQL Server backends. Guarantee high reliability and optimal performance of risk systems by integrating robust messaging architectures such as Kafka or IBM MQ. Participate actively in DevOps practices, including testing, deployment automation, and system monitoring to ensure continuous delivery and operational stability. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly, optimize system performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards throughout the development lifecycle.
