The Role
The Senior Project Manager is a strategic leadership role reporting to the Head of Delivery. This position is designed for a high-caliber professional capable of navigating the complexities of large-scale, fixed-price B2B projects, with a primary focus on international customers. Your "North Star" is On-Time Delivery with Quality.
You will act as a key delivery partner, working closely with Managers and Leads across Engineering, QA, and Sales to ensure project timelines and budgets are met with precision. Beyond direct project ownership, you will serve as a senior leader within the delivery organization to establish right processes, tools & templates, guidelines & checklist, guide & mentor Project Managers & other key members of delivery organisation to achieve highest level of Project management & delivery excellence to ensure on time delivery with quality, sharing escalation responsibilities to ensure high-touch governance with key customer leadership & stake holders, with strong focus on continuous improvement, learnings & capability upliftment.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience: 14+ years in IT, with 8+ years of dedicated Project Management experience, specifically in large B2B engagements involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- At least 2 or more Project Managers reporting under you with span of control across multiple projects for Project(s) / Program delivery.
- Proven experience in establishment of Project management & delivery excellence – processes, systems & tools, templates for various reusable artefacts, driving the culture of improvements consistently
- International Expertise: Proven track record of managing international customers. Must be adept at cross-border communication and willing to travel to customer locations.
- Experienced in scope, change, risks, issues & dependencies management in large projects involving multiple teams, vendors & partners. Ability to consolidate current learnings & establish strong capability to achieve North Star metric
- Very strong in people leadership with proven expertise in establishing high performing team, learning & development of direct reports, contribution to other teams working in matrix organisation
- Leadership Maturity: Significant experience in managing and mentoring project managers, coordinators, or scrum masters, with a focus on building high-performing teams and a culture of accountability.
- Technical Soundness: Ability to understand and speak "techno-functional" language. Solid grasp of IoT, Cloud computing, and Web/Mobile App based systems.
- Fixed-Price Mastery: Expert in proactive risk, issue, and dependency management to ensure successful delivery within strict fixed-price constraints.
- Domain Agility: Ability to quickly master complex domains and business processes (Aviation experience is a significant plus).
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or advanced Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM/PSM) are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Delivery: Own the project scope, risks, and quality for high-stakes international projects from POC to large-scale deployment.
- Establish Project management & delivery excellence with sponsorship of Head of Delivery & required support from other teams
- Manage 2 or more managers across multiple projects across regions or product lines as appropriate
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with Engineering and QA Managers/Leads to align internal resources and technical roadmaps with customer project timelines and budgets.
- Software & Release process compliance: Collaborate with the Head of Delivery and other leadership tiers to 100% compliance to standardized delivery practices (Jira workflows, documentation, release management) that enhance organizational scalability.
- Shared Leadership & Escalation: Serve as a senior escalation contact for designated projects, providing expert guidance and ensuring swift resolution for complex project blockers.
- Collaborative Governance: Drive continuous improvement by fostering tight integration between the Delivery, Engineering, QA, and Account Management teams.
KPI / Success Metrics
- The North Star: On-time delivery of projects within budget and schedule, ensuring zero P1 & P2 defects.
- Scope & Schedule: Maintain rigorous change control to ensure less than 10% deviation from agreed scope and committed timelines.
- Multiple projects reviews, governance & exceptions management to keep <5% impact to project cost, schedule & quality
- Organizational Growth: Measurable contribution to the setup of standardized processes and the professional development of the wider delivery team.
- Customer Trust: Achieve a consistent customer feedback rating of 4.5/5 or higher.
- Documentation Excellence: Ensure comprehensive documentation of design, architecture, user stories, and test/build processes for all managed products.
- Tangible savings on process improvements, cost/wastage reduction & +ve impact to on time delivery quality

- Aviation Domain Knowledge: Experience with airport operations, turnaround monitoring, or AI-based camera solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Experience engaging and building relationships with high-profile stakeholders at the executive level.
- Design-Led Delivery: Experience delivering UI/UX rich systems with a deep understanding of user personas and global usability standards.
