Position: Senior Project Manager

Experience: 10–15 Years (Minimum 7–8 years of experience in utility-scale ground-mounted Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering. MBA in Project Management preferred. PMP certification will be an added advantage.
About the Role
Solar Circle Power Projects Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of utility-scale ground-mounted solar projects under the IPP/Developer model. This is primarily a Head Office-based role focusing on project planning, monitoring, coordination, commercial management, and stakeholder engagement. The role also requires travel to project sites for project reviews, inspections, issue resolution, and milestone monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Monitoring (Head Office)
- Lead the overall planning and execution strategy for multiple utility-scale solar projects.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, and resource plans using MS Project or Primavera.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Procurement, Land, Liaison, Finance, Legal, and Construction teams.
- Review project progress and ensure timely completion within approved timelines and budgets.
- Track project costs, cash flow, procurement status, and commercial milestones.
- Review technical drawings, BOQs, engineering deliverables, and execution plans.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors for timely project execution.
- Conduct weekly and monthly project review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare MIS reports, project dashboards, management presentations, and risk registers.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate statutory approvals, grid connectivity, and project development activities with relevant authorities.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Support management in strategic planning and decision-making for ongoing and upcoming projects.
Site Monitoring & Execution (Project Sites )
- Travel to project sites as required to monitor construction progress and project quality.
- Conduct site inspections and review execution against approved schedules and milestones.
- Resolve critical technical, commercial, and execution-related issues in coordination with site teams.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and statutory requirements at project sites.
- Review contractor performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
- Monitor testing, commissioning, grid synchronization, and project handover activities.
- Provide technical and operational guidance to Project Managers, Site Engineers, and contractors.
- Report site observations and action plans to senior management.
Experience
· 10–15 years of experience in utility-scale ground-mounted solar project management, preferably with Solar IPP/Developer or leading Solar EPC organizations.
· Strong knowledge of project development, EPC execution, land & liaison, statutory approvals, grid connectivity, and commissioning of MW-scale solar projects.
Technical Knowledge
· Strong understanding of Solar PV systems, HT/LT systems, inverters, transformers, switchyards, pooling substations, transmission lines, SCADA systems, grid synchronization, and industry standards.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Project/Primavera P6, and Advanced MS Excel.
· Familiarity with quality standards (ISO/IEC) and HSE compliance.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and reporting skills.
· Proven experience in EPC coordination, vendor and contractor management, and stakeholder management.
· Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams simultaneously.
· Willingness to travel to project sites across India as per project requirements.
