🚨 Hiring: Sr. Production Engineer – Sodium Silicate (Wet Process)
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Production Engineer – Sodium Silicate (Wet Process) to lead and supervise sodium silicate production operations for a well-established and growing manufacturing group in East Africa.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise liquid sodium silicate production using caustic soda and silica
• Monitor production processes to achieve quality standards and daily production targets
• Manage and guide production operators across shifts
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE and safe working practices
• Coordinate closely with Quality Control and Maintenance teams
• Maintain accurate daily production records and shift reports
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, productivity and operating costs
🔹 Candidate Profile
• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Ceramic, Industrial Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in sodium silicate manufacturing, specifically through the wet process
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in sodium silicate production
• Strong knowledge of wet-process operations, quality control and safety procedures
• Proven experience in production supervision and team leadership
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience with PLC/SCADA and continuous process plants will be an advantage
