We are looking for an experienced Sr PostgreSQL Engineer to join our team and manage large-scale database environments across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
🔹 Key Skills & Technologies
Database Technologies:
• AWS RDS
• Aurora DSQL
• Aurora PostgreSQL (Global DB, Serverless, etc.)
• DynamoDB
• MongoDB
• Neo4j
Programming / Scripting:
• Python
• Shell Scripting
DevOps & Tools:
• Terraform
• Jenkins
• Bitbucket / GitHub
🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Work within globally distributed Agile/Scrum teams
• Manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database environments
• Implement HA, replication, clustering, and DR solutions
• Support DR drill activities and database refresh operations
• Set up replication between PostgreSQL/Aurora and platforms like Data Lake, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, and Redshift
• Support application releases, DB deployments, and data fixes
• Collaborate with application teams on stored procedure optimization/rewrite
• Troubleshoot real-time performance issues
• Ensure database security, patching, and operational excellence
• Maintain documentation and follow SOPs/best practices
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for critical systems suppor
