Job Summary
The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control of civil construction activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera (P6) / MS Project
- Develop baseline schedules, resource loading, and cash flow projections
- Monitor project progress and compare with planned schedules
- Identify delays and recommend corrective actions
- Coordinate with site, design, procurement, and execution teams
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports (MIS)
- Track critical activities and ensure adherence to timelines
- Conduct delay analysis and prepare recovery plans
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Participate in project review meetings and present planning status
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of project planning & scheduling
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 / MS Project
- Good understanding of construction methodologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong coordination and communication abilities
Experience
8–12 years in civil construction (infrastructure, structure & superstructure projects)
Should have experience into structure, superstructure, High rise Buildings
Education
B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering (Preferred: NICMAR / IIT / NIT or equivalent)
