Senior PHP Developer (Magento & WordPress/WooCommerce/shopify/php) Location: Mohali (Onsite), Experience: 6+ Years,
Shift timing - 01:30pm-10:30 pm (UK Shift)
Work Days : 5.5 days per week
Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior PHP Developer with strong expertise in Magento
(mandatory) and solid experience in WordPress/WooCommerce. The candidate will be responsible for
end-to-end development of eCommerce platforms, including customization, integrations, performance
optimization, and ongoing maintenance. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, ownership, and
the ability to work on international projects.
Skill Set
PHP & Platform Expertise
• Strong hands-on experience in Magento (Magento 2 preferred) • Ability to develop custom modules, extensions, and APIs
• Solid experience in WordPress & WooCommerce
• Theme customization and plugin development
• Understanding of MVC architecture and OOP concepts Database (MySQL)
• Strong understanding of database structure and relationships • Ability to write optimized queries
• Experience in data import/export and bulk operations
• Troubleshooting database performance issues
Frontend Development
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Ability to convert designs into responsive web pages
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility
• Basic knowledge of frameworks like Bootstrap
Themes, Plugins & Extensions
• Installation and customization of Magento extensions
• Customization of WordPress themes and plugins
• Debugging and resolving compatibility issues
• Maintaining clean and scalable code
Integrations
• Experience with payment gateways (Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal) • Shipping integrations (FedEx, DHL, Shiprocket)
• Third-party API integrations
• Working with REST APIs, webhooks, authentication
Version Control (Git)
• Experience with Git workflows (branching, merging)
• Managing dev, staging, and production environments
• Code versioning and release management
Hosting & Deployment
• Understanding of hosting environments (AWS, VPS, cPanel)
• Deployment process and environment setup
• Domain, SSL, and server configurations
Performance & Security
• Website speed optimization techniques
• Caching and performance tuning
• Implementing security best practices
• Regular updates and vulnerability fixes
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
• Strong debugging skills
• Ability to resolve issues without breaking live systems
• Handling ongoing maintenance and upgrades
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, customize, and maintain Magento and WooCommerce websites
• Build and manage custom modules, plugins, and integrations
• Implement third-party integrations including payment and shipping systems • Optimize website performance, speed, and scalability
• Troubleshoot bugs and resolve issues in development and live environments • Work closely with design, QA, and SEO teams for smooth execution
• Manage deployments and maintain code using Git
• Ensure website security, updates, and best practices
• Handle database operations, data migration, and API integrations
• Maintain documentation and communicate effectively with stakeholders Communication
