Job Title: Senior Pega Solutions Developer /Support
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Pega Solutions Developer at the Senior level to work with a dynamic team for digital transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level solutions using the Pega platform. This role requires deep technical expertise in Pega PRPC, a strong understanding of BPM and the ability to architect scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions that align with organizational goals.
As a Senior Pega Solutions Developer, you will collaborate with cross functional teams and serve as a subject matter expert in Pega technologies. You will play a critical role in driving digital transformation initiatives and ensure successful delivery of complex projects for the organization. As the team grows, you will be expected to provide guidance and mentorship to other junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture: Design and architect end-to-end Pega-based applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to Pega best practices, guardrails, and design standards.
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and product owners to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Development Oversight: Lead the implementation of Pega solutions, including case management, workflows, integrations, and business rules.
- Integration: Design and implement integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and other middleware technologies.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and reliability of Pega applications.
- Code Review: Conduct code reviews to maintain quality, consistency, and compliance with architectural standards.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and deployment guides.
- Innovation: Stay current with Pega platform updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends to recommend improvements and innovative solutions.
- Troubleshooting: Provide expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in production and non-production environments.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Own end-to-end delivery timelines by planning and prioritizing work to meet agreed deadlines; proactively identifying and escalating risks early with clear mitigation options; and maintaining customer-focused, soft-spoken communication through professional expectation-setting, status updates, and constructive discussions around schedule changes with customers and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Pega Certification:
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (PCSSA) or Pega Certified Lead System Architect (PCLSA) required.
- Additional Pega certifications (e.g., Pega Certified Business Architect) are a plus.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4+ years focused on Pega PRPC.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering enterprise-grade Pega solutions.
- Experience leading technical teams and managing large-scale Pega implementations.
- Experience migrating Pega PRPC versions.
Technical Skills:
- Experience in Pega PRPC, including case management, rules engine, and UI development.
- Strong knowledge of Pega integration techniques (REST, SOAP, JMS, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management and deadline ownership, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver work within agreed timelines.
- Proactive risk identification and escalation, raising concerns early when timelines are at risk and proposing mitigation options.
- Customer-focused communication, able to set expectations, provide clear status updates, and handle timeline discussions professionally.
- Strong interpersonal and soft-spoken communication style, especially when coordinating deadlines and discussing delays with customers or stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Prior experience in industries such as finance or insurance.
