About The Role
The Network Engineer II & III position at CBTS is a critical role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures for our managed service clients. This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, security, and emerging technologies such as SD-WAN, SASE, and NaaS. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to network management, troubleshooting, and security, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of client networks. Working in a 24x7 shift environment, the Network Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, security specialists, and client stakeholders, to drive network transformation initiatives and support ongoing operational excellence.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly preferred. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in network engineering within a Managed Service Provider environment or 5+ years in an enterprise setting is required. The candidate must demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, deep knowledge of multi-vendor networking solutions, and experience with SD-WAN, SASE, and NaaS platforms. Familiarity with vendor APIs, automation, and scripting is an advantage. The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences is essential.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Design and deploy SD-WAN, SASE, and NaaS solutions tailored to client needs, integrating these into existing network architectures.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and optimize network operations to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with Managed Service Providers, security teams, and enterprise architects to develop and refine network strategies and solutions.
- Create and review network design documents, technical reports, and presentations, providing clear recommendations and feedback.
- Assist in selecting appropriate tools and products, conducting proof of concepts, and evaluating new technologies.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, reference architectures, and best practices for network security and performance.
- Support network transformation initiatives by providing technical guidance and implementing innovative solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in 24x7 shift rotations, providing on-call support as needed to ensure network reliability.
