Role Description The MERN Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, implementing RESTful APIs, integrating front-end and back-end components, and optimizing application performance. The role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and QA professionals to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues across the stack. The MERN Developer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and stay current with best practices and emerging technologies. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Kolkata Area.
Qualifications
- 5+ years Experience and Strong proficiency in the MERN stack, including MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js
- Experience building RESTful APIs, integrating front-end and back-end services, and working with JSON-based data
- Solid understanding of JavaScript, ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles
- Knowledge of version control systems (such as Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and basic cloud deployment concepts is an advantage
- Ability to analyze requirements, estimate tasks, and deliver features within agreed timelines
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site, team-oriented environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Prior experience in product development or rescuing legacy/underperforming projects is a plus
