Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Melter role located in Gamharia. The Sr. Melter will oversee the melting process, ensuring adherence to safety standards, efficiency, and quality. Key responsibilities include operating and maintaining melting furnaces, monitoring material specifications, supervising the melting team, and ensuring compliance with production schedules. The candidate will liaise with quality control to ensure the final product meets specifications and will troubleshoot process deviations or equipment malfunctions to maintain high operational standards.
Qualifications
- Experience with melting processes, furnace operations, and metallurgical principles
- Proficiency in supervising teams, ensuring safety protocols, and adhering to production schedules
- Ability to monitor material quality, collaborate with quality control teams, and ensure product specification compliance
- Experience with troubleshooting equipment, maintaining operational efficiency, and minimizing downtime
- Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Fluency in relevant technical terminology and basic computer skills are an advantage
- Previous experience in melting operations in a heavy industrial setting is highly desirable
