Role Description The Sr. Mechanical Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City, responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of mechanical equipment and systems at client facilities. This role includes performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on mechanical, HVAC, and related building systems to minimize downtime and extend asset life. The Sr. Mechanical Tech will diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot breakdowns, and coordinate with vendors or internal teams to resolve complex problems efficiently. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining maintenance logs, updating service records, adhering to safety and statutory compliance standards, and supporting continuous improvement in equipment performance. The role also involves mentoring junior technicians, supporting facility audits, and collaborating closely with operations and facility management teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for mechanical, HVAC, and related building systems.
- Experience in Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance planning to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for mechanical equipment and system failures.
- Hands-on experience with Maintenance practices, including use of tools, test instruments, and maintenance documentation.
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field; higher technical qualifications are an advantage.
- Experience in facilities management, industrial plants, or large commercial buildings is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards, statutory compliance, and best practices in mechanical and facility operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance schedules.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Willingness to work on-site in Pune City, including shifts or emergency call-outs as required.
