Arcons Infrastructures & Constructions is hiring for an NHAI road project in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh.
Position: Sr. Mechanical Manager – Plant & Machinery
Location: Sagar Site, Madhya Pradesh
Project: NHAI Road Project
Experience: Minimum 10 years
Joining: Immediate preferred
We are looking for a senior mechanical professional to head complete plant, machinery, workshop, and fleet operations at the site. This is a site leadership role requiring strong hands-on experience in large-scale road/highway construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complete plant and machinery operations at site
- Manage crushing plant, concrete plant, hot mix plant, WMM plant, pavers, rollers, tippers, loaders, transit mixers, excavators, cranes, and other site equipment
- Handle breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, repair planning, and service schedules
- Ensure equipment uptime, availability, and productivity for execution teams
- Plan spare parts, consumables, repairs, vendor support, and workshop activities
- Monitor diesel consumption, equipment utilization, idle time, downtime, repair cost, and maintenance expenses
- Lead mechanics, operators, workshop staff, and related site teams
- Maintain service logs, repair history, maintenance records, and equipment documentation
- Drive cost control, preventive maintenance discipline, and smooth site operations
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction/infrastructure mechanical operations
- Prior road/highway project experience preferred
- Strong hands-on experience with plant and machinery used in road construction
- Ability to troubleshoot breakdowns and manage teams/vendors independently
- Experience in fleet management, diesel monitoring, spare parts planning, and maintenance cost control
- Experience with N-Way ERP will be preferred
- Strong leadership, practical problem-solving ability, and work ethic
- Must be willing to be based full-time at the Sagar project site
Candidates currently working as Mechanical Manager / Plant & Machinery Head / Equipment Manager / Workshop Head in road, highway, mining, crusher, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
A formal degree is not mandatory; strong practical site experience in plant and machinery management is essential.
Accommodation and food will be provided at the site.
