Position: Production Manager / Senior Manager – Production

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager / Senior Manager to lead manufacturing operations at our Dahej facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in batch process manufacturing and a proven track record of driving safe, efficient, and compliant production operations in the Agrochemical, API, or Specialty Chemicals industry.
Educational Qualification
● B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from a reputed engineering institute.
Experience
● 12–15 years of relevant experience in production operations.
● Mandatory experience in batch process manufacturing.
● Preference will be given to candidates from Agrochemical, API, or Specialty Chemicals manufacturing plants.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead day-to-day production operations to achieve production targets with optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, and resources.
● Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, environment (SHE), and statutory regulations.
● Plan and monitor production schedules to achieve quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
● Drive productivity improvement, process optimization, yield enhancement, and cost reduction initiatives.
● Ensure adherence to SOPs, BMR/BPR, GMP (where applicable), and quality management systems.
● Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams for seamless plant operations.
● Lead root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA implementation, deviation investigations, and continuous improvement projects.
● Develop and mentor production teams to build a high-performance culture.
● Ensure effective implementation of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives.
● Monitor production KPIs and prepare periodic MIS reports for management review.
● Participate in new product commercialization, process scale-up, and technology transfer activities, where applicable.
Required Technical Competencies
● Strong knowledge of batch process operations.
● Thorough understanding of process safety management and plant safety practices.
● Knowledge of HAZOP, Risk Assessment, Permit-to-Work (PTW), LOTO, emergency response, and incident investigation.
● Hands-on experience in ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and regulatory compliance.
● Good understanding of EHS requirements, hazardous chemical handling, and statutory compliance.
● Working knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and manufacturing documentation.
● Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and 5S.

● Proven track record of improving productivity, safety performance, and manufacturing efficiency.
