Role Overview
This role involves leading complex board-level hardware designs and driving full product development cycles from concept to deployment. The position requires strong technical depth in digital, analog, and power electronics, along with cross-functional collaboration across engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key Requirements
- 10–12 years of experience in hardware board design and system hardware engineering
- Experience managing full hardware product development cycles
- Strong expertise in digital, analog, and power electronic circuit design
- Hands-on experience designing boards using SoCs, FPGAs, CPLDs, and MPSoC architectures
- Understanding of signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and high-speed design principles
- Experience completing at least two end-to-end hardware product development cycles
- Ability to independently manage schematic design, DC drop analysis, and signal integrity reviews
- Experience in board bring-up, debugging, and cross-functional issue resolution
- Exposure to hardware validation, test planning, execution, and documentation
- Proficiency in Cadence Allegro or Altium EDA tools
- Experience coordinating with layout, mechanical, SI, EMC, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
- Understanding of production processes, component sourcing, and manufacturing services
Key Responsibilities
- Lead hardware board design across multiple product development cycles
- Analyze and design digital, analog, and power electronic circuits
- Develop board architectures based on SoC, FPGA, CPLD, and MPSoC platforms
- Ensure compliance with signal integrity and EMI/EMC standards
- Manage schematic capture, DC drop analysis, and design reviews
- Coordinate with layout, mechanical, SI, and EMC teams for validation
- Support component sourcing and procurement processes
- Perform board bring-up, debugging, and system-level validation
- Prepare hardware documentation, validation plans, and test reports
- Identify test equipment requirements and execute validation procedures
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure production readiness
- Support post-silicon validation and work closely with firmware and QA teams
Additional Skills (Good to Have)
- Python or Perl scripting
- Test automation experience
- Exposure to production cost optimization and value engineering
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
