Role: Sr. Manager – Strategy & Operations (International Business)
Location: Hyderabad
Job Summary
A fast-growing diagnostics organisation is looking for an entrepreneurial leader to drive Strategy & Operations for its International Business function. This is a build-and-run role reporting directly to the CEO, with ownership across international markets, distributor ecosystem management and commercial performance. The role focuses on driving growth, bringing execution discipline and building scalable systems across markets.
Key Responsibilities
- International Business Performance
- Own international market performance across growth, margins and execution
- Drive business reviews and track market-wise performance metrics
- Ensure commercial discipline and delivery of business objectives
- Distributor & Partner Management
- Lead distributor evaluation, onboarding and partner management
- Build accountability and drive partner performance
- Strengthen distributor ecosystem effectiveness across markets
- Commercial Operations & Execution
- Drive end-to-end execution from registration to launch and steady-state performance
- Manage pricing, inventory and receivables discipline
- Improve operational rigor and execution efficiency
- Strategy & Business Governance
- Drive monthly reviews, performance reporting and business rhythm
- Identify gaps and implement simple scalable systems
- Support growth and international market expansion initiatives
- Cross Functional Leadership
- Partner with Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain and Service teams
- Ensure alignment and execution across internal stakeholders
- Drive follow-through and operational effectiveness
Key Requirements:
- 10–14 years of experience in International Business / Exports / Commercial roles within Diagnostics / MedTech / Healthcare / FMCG
OR
- 5–7 years of experience with 2+ years at McKinsey / BCG / Bain followed by strategy / operations / commercial experience in industry
- Strong experience managing distributors and international markets
- Exposure to ROW markets and institutional buying systems
- Strong understanding of commercial governance and partner management
- Experience in export coordination and regulatory awareness preferred
- MBA mandatory
