The Sr Manager NPD, Engineering & DQC - Lead end-to-end engineering, new product development, and interior design drawing quality control for modular furniture, ensuring accurate technical drawings, manufacturable designs, value engineering, prototype validation, and seamless cross-functional execution from concept to production launch with strong focus on quality, cost optimization, and process standardization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering & BOM: Lead engineering and BOM management for modular furniture, ensuring accurate material specification, hardware selection, cost optimization, and manufacturing-ready documentation, while maintaining design intent, modular compatibility, and seamless integration between design, production, and supply chain processes.
- Design Drawing QC Process Auditing & Validation: Lead the auditing and validation of design drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and documentation to ensure design accuracy, material consistency, code compliance, manufacturability, site execution readiness, and adherence to quality and revision control standards while minimizing design and execution errors.
- IMOS Team Lead: Lead and manage the IMOS design and engineering team responsible for 3D modeling, technical drawings, CNC-ready outputs, and production documentation, ensuring accuracy, process standardization, workflow optimization, and seamless coordination between design, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
- Project & Product Management: Lead the end-to-end new product development lifecycle for modular furniture solutions, from concept development and prototyping to engineering validation and production launch, ensuring design innovation, manufacturability, cost optimization, quality compliance, and seamless cross-functional collaboration across design, engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
- Material Expertise & Value Engineering: Apply in-depth knowledge of materials, hardware systems, finishes, and modular construction techniques to optimize product performance, manufacturability, durability, and cost efficiency while maintaining design aesthetics, structural integrity, and scalability for modular furniture systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with industrial design, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, marketing, and planning teams to ensure seamless end-to-end execution.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or Furniture Design preferred.
Experience: 12–15 years of experience in furniture product engineering, NPD, or manufacturing, with proven exposure to DFM and modular design principles.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of IMOS software workflow for modular furniture design, production-ready engineering outputs, and manufacturing integration; advanced proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D drawings and 3D modeling; and strong command over the end-to-end NPD lifecycle including concept development, design engineering, prototyping, validation, testing, and production launch with focus on DFM, value engineering, and scalable product development.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, project management, people management, and coordination skills.
