Job Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the respective stakeholders and support development / evaluate the discipline specific requirements and solutions to help the Line manage existing and emerging risks, eliminate defects, and achieve sustained conformance with OMS requirements.
- Provide oversight on the group-wide engineering, operations & technology requirements, for asset construction and operation.
- Support the segments/divisions by providing specialist advise to implement engineering, integrity management and process safety.
- Participates in group and sites leadership team meetings and brings an independent S&OR view on risk. In this way S&OR provides expertise early in the process and on an ongoing basis.
- Lead central levels initiatives focused on accelerating conformance within the improvement domains related to process safety
- Monitor the effectiveness of implementation of the appropriate requirements (Policies, Process, Procedures and Guides) and provide for their updating in line with changes in laws, regulations, and corporate directives
- Provide directions to functional excellence teams involving Line Management, CoEs and members from business groups (i.e., Process Safety inter-site network teams, HTM Committees, Technology network teams) and drive improvements in focused areas through these teams.
- Verify and approve, on merits, the deviations requested by line management and embedded S&OR.
- Perform periodic organizational Competency review in the domain, develop and steer capability enhancement programs for the line organization across operations. Source and develop talent pipeline in the respective discipline for the company. Provide inputs to Operations, Technology, Engineering & Reliability, Projects academies for competency development and assessment.
- Network with global professional process safety organizations & bodies and national & international institutions (e.g., AIChE, CCPS, EPSC, API, OISD, etc.). Keep abreast with the global developments in Process Safety and Engineering and program best practices to drive continuous improvement internally. Network with regulatory bodies to drive improvements in related legislations.
- Define the multiyear and the annual priorities and provide a cascade to the annual planning process of the segments
- Facilitate Embedded functional teams in devising and steering development of risk-based programs across segments & entities and drive targeted programmes reinforcing values and building leadership capacity to #bring OMS to life# at the asset face and achieve consistently safe, compliant, reliable operations
- Establish, Monitor, track, and report indicators and create dashboards and reporting to track performance for various audiences (employees, Executives & Board level).
- Lead assurance projects associated with systems implementations, and external audits.
- Create and run a community of practice for their respective discipline within the organisation
- Benchmark the company#s initiatives and performance against peers and support the leadership in quantifying impact and develop roadmaps for improving performance.
Education Requirement : Qualification:
Necessary:
- Bachelor#s Degree in engineering, (Master#s Degree preferred from a reputed university
- At least 15-20 years of professional experience within their respective domain, that include driving corporate initiatives that tie to strategic business objectives.
Desirable:
- Advanced Degree (Masters or Doctorate Equivalent) in other Science / Engineering functions, Business
Experience Requirement : Should possess prior working experience in following areas:
- Site / Business / Region based Operations Leader for a large location
- Transitioned through Technology, Engineering and HSE function at senior level
- International/ National recognition in the Design and Engineering domain through participation in various committees and conferences
- Familiarity with Current and emerging trends including digital in their respective disciplines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build out metrics and synthesize data.
- The ability to work autonomously with a hands-on approach.
