Senior Lead Network Detection And Response Analyst
Role Purpose:
Own the management, operational performance, observability, and resilience of core Security Platform Services (SPS) tools, including Safeguard Authentication Services (SAS), Flexera, and NDR capabilities such as ExtraHop and Gigamon, while providing senior technical leadership across the service.
Lead, manage, and develop a team of technical personnel responsible for platform operations, SME enablement, automation, incident response, service improvement, and audit readiness.
Act as the bridge between service management, operations, engineering, and stakeholders, ensuring clear ownership, strong delivery governance, and continuous platform optimization.
Core Accountabilities:
Technical Team Management & Role Ownership
- Manage and develop a team of technical specialists across monitoring, NDR, SAS, Flexera, automation, and platform engineering disciplines.
- Define clear roles, responsibilities, ownership boundaries, and escalation paths for each team member and service area.
- Set delivery priorities, allocate work, track progress, and ensure outcomes align with service objectives, operational risk, and stakeholder commitments.
- Coach technical personnel on engineering standards, operational discipline, documentation quality, incident response, and continuous improvement.
Roles & Responsibilities for Technical Personnel:
- Platform Engineers: maintain platform health, lifecycle, integrations, capacity, patching, resilience, and technical documentation.
- Monitoring and Observability Specialists: define telemetry standards, alert logic, dashboard quality, service indicators, and noise reduction initiatives.
- Automation and IaC Engineers: deliver repeatable automation using GitHub-based workflows, Terraform modules, code review practices, and controlled deployment pipelines.
- Incident and Service Analysts: support triage, root cause analysis, runbook execution, problem management, and continuous service improvement.
Observability & Monitoring Leadership for SPS:
- Own monitoring and observability strategy
- Drive alert quality and noise reduction
- Define telemetry standards (logs, metrics, traces)
Platform Performance & Stability:
- Ensure stability and lifecycle management of SAS, Flexera, and NDR
- Drive resilience and root cause elimination
Automation & AI Enablement:
- Deliver automation-first operations
- Implement AI-driven alerting and predictive insights
Incident & Run Excellence:
- Lead major incidents and improve MTTR
- Define runbooks and self-healing capabilities
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure audit readiness (ICIF, NIST, DORA, SOC etc..)
- Maintain control evidence and reporting integrity
Leadership & GCC Capability:
- Lead and develop India GCC team
- Shift capability to engineering and automation focus
Experience & Skills:
- 5–8 years’ experience in Security Platform Operations, Engineering, Network Detection and Response, monitoring, observability, or related infrastructure/security service environments.
- Proven experience leading technical teams, managing personnel, setting priorities, coaching team members, and ensuring delivery against operational and service objectives.
- Hands-on experience with the technologies referenced in this role, including SAS, Flexera, ExtraHop, Gigamon, GitHub, Terraform, automation tooling, monitoring platforms, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Strong monitoring/observability experience
- Advanced troubleshooting and networking fundamentals
- Experience driving operational transformation
- Working practical knowledge of AI workflows
- Strong working knowledge of GitHub for source control, branching strategies, pull request governance, code review standards, repository hygiene, and audit traceability.
- Practical understanding of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles, including reusable modules, state management, environment promotion, policy controls, and peer-reviewed change deployment.
- Ability to lead technical teams adopting GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation standards, and secure engineering practices across cloud and security platforms.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical contribution with people leadership, stakeholder engagement, service ownership, and operational governance responsibilities.
