About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and RESTful API development. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring performance, security, and scalability
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and front-end teams to define technical requirements
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, ensuring system reliability
- Integrate with databases, message queues, and third-party services
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Java development
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security)
- Solid experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Practical knowledge of Microservices architecture and design patterns
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) is a plus
- Understanding of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes (preferred)
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Good understanding of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Good to Have
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Knowledge of API Gateway, Service Discovery, and Circuit Breaker patterns
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
