Role Description The Sr Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for leading interior design projects from concept to completion. This role involves translating client briefs into creative, functional design solutions, developing space plans, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) in line with the firm’s sustainable and ethical design philosophy. The Sr Interior Designer will prepare and oversee construction drawings, collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and contractors, and ensure design intent is maintained through all stages of execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include client presentations, design reviews, site visits, quality checks, and mentoring junior designers. The position requires proactive coordination across internal teams and external partners to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high design
standard.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to develop functional, aesthetically strong layouts for diverse project types.
- Solid understanding of Architecture and its integration with interior concepts, ensuring cohesive design solutions across built and interior environments.
- Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Construction Drawings, detailing, and documentation required for on-site execution and coordination.
- Strong skills in FF&E selection and specification, including materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories aligned with project concepts and budgets.
- Professional degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; senior-level experience in an interior design or architecture practice.
- Advanced proficiency in design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, or similar tools).
- Experience managing client relationships, leading project teams, and coordinating with contractors and vendors on-site.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles, local building standards, and contemporary interior design trends.
- Minimum professional experience of atleast 5 years
