Role Description The Sr HVAC Design Engineer will lead HVAC and related utility design for pharmaceutical facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and clean room specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing HVAC systems, preparing and reviewing detailed engineering calculations, generating design drawings and specifications, and coordinating with architecture, civil, electrical, and MEP teams. The role involves evaluating and selecting equipment, optimizing energy efficiency, supporting installation and commissioning activities, and troubleshooting design-related issues during project execution. The Sr HVAC Design Engineer will also participate in client meetings, support feasibility studies from an HVAC perspective, and mentor junior engineers. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad.
- Strong HVAC Design and HVAC system engineering skills for pharmaceutical and clean room applications.
- Proficiency in Plumbing design and integration with mechanical and utilities systems.
- Ability to perform accurate engineering Calculations related to air flow, heat load, and system sizing.
- Solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering principles applied to HVAC and building services.
- Experience with relevant codes and standards (e.g., GMP, ISO clean room standards, ASHRAE) and regulatory guidelines.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC design software and CAD tools for preparing layouts and schematics.
- Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills for multidisciplinary project environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Prior experience in HVAC design for pharmaceutical, healthcare, or clean room projects is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
