Role Purpose:
We are excited to announce an open role for a Sr Health, Safety & Environment Manager to drive strong performance across Ortholite’s global manufacturing footprint.
You will lead the integration of Ortholite sites, reporting to the COO, with a dotted-line reporting to Coats HSE Director, ensuring safe operations, environmental compliance, and a consistent safety culture worldwide, according to Coats' group HSE standards and strategic priorities.
Location: The role can be based in Indonesia, Vietnam or China.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a strong, proactive culture across all Ortholite global sites, driving employee listening, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the development and execution of Ortholite’s HSE strategy, driving its transformation to fully meet Coats’ global HSE standards in line with business priorities.
- Establish and drive regulatory compliance strategies to ensure all Ortholite sites meet applicable local, national, and global HSE regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and lead HSE audits and assessments, including internal, external, and regulatory assessments.
- Manage and lead incident investigations, including serious incidents and near‑misses, ensuring robust root cause analysis, corrective actions, and organisational learning.
- Analyse HSE performance data, identify trends, and provide clear, actionable insights to senior leadership to drive change.
- Build HSE capability through training, coaching, and embedding best practices at all levels.
- Act as a global HSE subject‑matter expert, sharing best practices and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 7+ years’ experience in HSE leadership within a high-paced manufacturing environment.
- Recognised HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems.
- Solid environmental management and audit experience.
- Ability to influence across cultures, functions, and seniority levels.
- Strong English communication skills.
