Role Description The Sr FullStack Developer role at PPStack is a full-time, remote position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications and learning platforms. This role involves working across the entire stack, from front-end interfaces to back-end services, APIs, and databases, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability. The individual will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data/AI teams, and other engineers to translate business and learning requirements into robust technical solutions. Day-to-day tasks include implementing new features, refactoring and optimizing existing code, integrating third-party services, participating in code reviews, writing automated tests, and contributing to architectural decisions. The role also includes troubleshooting production issues, improving deployment pipelines, and mentoring junior developers to uphold engineering best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong front-end development skills, including modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (such as React, Vue, or Angular), responsive UI development, and component-based architecture.
- Robust back-end experience with one or more server-side languages and frameworks (such as Node.js, Python/Django/FastAPI, or Java/Spring), RESTful API design, and microservices principles.
- Proficiency in working with relational and/or NoSQL databases (such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar), including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and DevOps practices (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and basic infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals, including version control (Git), testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end), code review practices, and secure coding standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment with clear communication, documentation, and stakeholder alignment.
- Experience building or integrating e-learning, EdTech, or SaaS platforms is highly desirable; familiarity with AI/ML-driven features or data-intensive applications is a plus.
