Role Description The Sr. Facade Designer will be responsible for leading façade design concepts and detailed engineering for a variety of building envelope projects, ensuring technical accuracy and aesthetic quality. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing shop drawings, coordinating façade layouts, and specifying cladding and glazing systems in alignment with project requirements and codes. The role involves close collaboration with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and fabricators to resolve design issues, optimize performance, and support on-site execution. The Sr. Facade Designer will also contribute to performance analysis, material selection, and constructability reviews, while mentoring junior team members and maintaining project documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurgaon.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong façade design skills, including experience with façade concepts, detailing, and integration with structural and architectural elements.
- Candidates should possess expertise in cladding systems, including selection of materials, fixing methods, and weatherproofing and durability considerations.
- Candidates should possess in-depth knowledge of glazing systems, including framing design, glass specification, thermal performance, and safety standards.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in preparing and reviewing shop drawings, including accurate dimensions, section details, coordination with other trades, and compliance with codes.
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and façade analysis software, along with strong technical drawing and documentation skills.
- Good understanding of building codes, standards, and best practices related to façades, cladding, and glazing, including structural and thermal performance requirements.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field, with substantial experience in façade design and engineering.
