About the Role
SRK Techtronics LLP is establishing a world-class Greenfield EMS facility at Rajoda-Bavla, Ahmedabad. We are seeking a sharp, execution-oriented Senior Executive – Strategic Sourcing to build the sourcing foundation for our PCBA and Box Build operations from scratch.
This is not a transactional purchase role. This is a strategic sourcing role — the candidate will be responsible for vendor identification, qualification, negotiation, and development across electronic components, PCBs, mechanical parts, cables, and indirect materials — ensuring cost competitiveness, supply security, and quality compliance aligned to Tier-1 EMS standards.
What we are looking for:
A sourcing professional with strong EMS/electronics component knowledge, vendor development experience, and the ability to negotiate, qualify, and manage suppliers across a complex, multi-category electronics supply chain — while building sourcing processes and systems from the ground up.

Detailed Requirement(s)
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Own strategic sourcing for key categories: electronic components (ICs, passives, connectors, semiconductors), PCBs (rigid, flex, rigid-flex), cables & harnesses, sheet metal, plastics, and indirect materials
- Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned to cost, quality, delivery, and supply security objectives
- Build and maintain a preferred vendor list (PVL) across all sourcing categories with defined qualification status
- Drive annual sourcing plans aligned to production ramp-up, NPI pipeline, and customer BOM requirements
Vendor Identification & Development
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors for Greenfield requirements — component distributors, PCB fabricators, mechanical vendors, and service providers
- Conduct vendor capability assessments and coordinate with SQA for formal supplier qualification audits
- Drive vendor development programs for strategic suppliers — capacity building, quality improvement, and technology upgrades
- Maintain vendor scorecards covering quality (PPM/DPPM), delivery (OTD%), cost competitiveness, and responsiveness
Cost Negotiation & Should-Cost Analysis
- Conduct should-cost analysis for components, PCBs, and mechanical parts — understand cost drivers and negotiate effectively
- Lead RFQ processes: prepare RFQs, evaluate techno-commercial offers, and drive competitive negotiations
- Negotiate Long-Term Agreements (LTAs), volume discounts, payment terms, and price escalation clauses with strategic suppliers
- Drive year-on-year cost reduction targets (typically 3–5% in Tier-1 EMS) through negotiation, alternate sourcing, and design optimization inputs
Supply Risk Management & Alternate Sourcing
- Identify single-source risks and develop qualified alternates for critical components and materials
- Monitor component lifecycle status (active, NRND, EOL) and drive proactive last-time-buy or alternate qualification actions
- Track global supply chain disruptions (allocation situations, geopolitical risks, logistics constraints) and develop mitigation plans
- Maintain safety stock recommendations for long-lead and critical components in coordination with planning team
Supplier Qualification & Compliance
- Support Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team in supplier audits, PPAP approvals, and corrective action follow-ups
- Ensure all strategic suppliers meet RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals, and customer-specific compliance requirements
- Maintain supplier qualification documentation: NDA, quality agreements, capacity declarations, and financial health assessments
- Drive supplier consolidation where applicable to improve leverage and reduce supply chain complexity
ERP & Procurement Operations
- Execute sourcing and procurement activities on ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / equivalent) — PO creation, vendor master management, and price list maintenance
- Maintain accurate and updated pricing databases for all strategic categories
- Support MRP-driven procurement in coordination with planning and production teams
- Ensure on-time delivery performance from strategic suppliers — track, escalate, and resolve supply gaps proactively

- Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate with distributors, OEM vendors, and fabricators — not just transact
- Analytical Mindset: Should-cost analysis, spend analytics, supplier scorecards — data-driven sourcing decisions
- EMS Supply Chain Understanding: Knowledge of BOM-based sourcing, kitting, consigned vs. turnkey models, and component traceability requirements
- Builder's Mindset: Comfortable building sourcing processes, vendor databases, and category strategies from scratch in a Greenfield setup

- You thrive in a Greenfield, high-accountability, fast-growth environment
- You treat supplier relationships as long-term partnerships, not one-time transactions
