Designation: R&D Executive
Reporting To: R&D Manager / Head – R&D
Key Responsibilities- Independently handle formulation, development, and optimization of skincare and cosmetic products.
- Lead lab trials for creams, lotions, serums, gels, cleansers, and other skincare formats.
- Conduct and interpret stability, compatibility, and performance testing.
- Coordinate with raw material vendors for ingredient sourcing, samples, and technical documentation.
- Liaise with third-party laboratories for product testing and validations.
- Prepare, review, and maintain formulation dossiers, SOPs, and R&D documentation.
- Support scale-up and pilot batch trials; provide technical input during production runs.
- Troubleshoot formulation, quality, and process-related issues during development and manufacturing.
- Work closely with Quality, Production, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance with cosmetic standards.
- Stay updated on new cosmetic ingredients, trends, and regulatory changes in skincare.
Skills & Competencies- Strong hands-on experience in cosmetic and skincare formulations.
- In-depth knowledge of cosmetic raw materials, actives, preservatives, and emulsifiers.
- Good understanding of stability protocols, GMP, and quality standards.
- Excellent vendor coordination and cross-functional communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Educational Qualification- B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or a related field.
Experience- 4–5 years of relevant experience in cosmetic R&D, preferably with skincare products.
