We have a Sr Executive - Payroll for the Pune location. (Hadapsar Office)
Designation - Sr Executive - Payroll
Location: Pune
Experience: 3-4 years
Salary: INR 3,60,000 – INR 4,20,000 LPA
Office time: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities (prioritized And Structured) - Payroll Processing & Reconciliation (Highest priority)
- Execute timely and accurate monthly payroll runs, including off-cycle and corrective payrolls.
- Perform salary calculations, deductions and generate salary slips; ensure payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies before disbursal.
- Maintain payroll calendar and coordinate inputs from HR, timekeeping and business units to meet deadlines.
- Compliance & Statutory Filings
- Ensure statutory compliance for PF, ESIC, TDS and Professional Tax; prepare and submit required returns and reports on time.
- Use PF/ESIC portals for filings, reconciliations and issue resolution; coordinate with external consultants when required.
- Monitor regulatory updates and implement changes in payroll processes to maintain compliance.
- Attendance, Leave & Entitlement Management
- Verify and process attendance and timesheet data for accurate payroll calculations.
- Manage leave records, encashment calculations and ensure consistent application of leave policies.
- Payroll Operations & Vendor Management
- Maintain complete payroll records and ensure secure documentation of payroll data.
- Manage relationships and payments to payroll vendors, ensuring SLAs and accuracy of outsourced processes.
- Employee Support, Grievance Handling & Settlements
- Serve as primary contact for payroll-related employee queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Assist employees with claims (PF withdrawals, ESIC benefits) and manage full & final (FnF) settlements and exit formalities.
- Data Management, Reporting & Audits
- Maintain and update payroll and compliance databases; produce accurate reports for management and audits.
- Prepare documentation required for internal and statutory audits and support audit queries.
- Process Improvement & Systems
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements, automation opportunities and controls to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
- Leverage Excel and payroll systems to streamline tasks, create templates and ensure data integrity.
Key Requirements
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Validation, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Payroll Processing & Compliance (PF, ESIC, TDS).
- Experience with PF & ESIC portals for filings and issue resolution.
- Attention to detail & accuracy in payroll and compliance-related documentation.
- Ability to handle employee grievances related to payroll and statutory benefits.
