Description:
• Coordinate daily shipments by air, sea, and land as per business or client requirements.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, transporters, and third-party logistics providers.
• Apply correct Incoterms (FOB, CIF, EXW, etc.) as per shipping contracts.
• Prepare and verify documents like invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
• Submit and manage documents with customs brokers and shipping lines.
• Act as the communication link between clients, vendors, and transport teams.
• Provide shipment status updates to all internal and external stakeholders.
• Handle any issues related to shipment delays, document errors, or damaged cargo.
• Collect freight quotes from vendors and compare costs for the best option.
• Negotiate rates and timelines with service providers to reduce freight costs.
• Monitor customs clearance procedures and ensure smooth processing.
• Keep track of changing import/export duties, taxes, and trade policies.
• Maintain shipment records and update tracking systems or ERP platforms.
• Prepare regular reports on delivery timelines, freight costs, and KPI performance.
• Coordinate with insurance providers for claims in case of shipment loss or damage.
• Identify risks and maintain backup solutions for logistics issues or disruptions.
• Ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective logistics operations end-to-end.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills. Knowledge of ERP/logistics
software (SAP, Tally ERP, etc.). Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
