What You’ll Be Doing...
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and driving new opportunities through an expert-level comprehension of software design, APIs, web technologies and end to end testing of CNOE applications. You will be working with the development team to build Devops automation solutions to solve problems, designing, developing, and executing automated test cases to validate functionality, performance, and security of our network services.
- Building automation tools for Network Support and Operations.
- Ensuring everything we build is maintainable and ensure the team follows best practices with code versioning, testing, and programming\project methodologies.
- Leveraging expert level understanding of front-end and server-side application design to ensure tools are highly available, geographically redundant, reliable, and meet the growth requirements of a burgeoning network.
- Devising an intensive testing strategy for all new and existing components/applications to ensure they are free of bugs and function as intended.
- Creating a culture of inclusion and teamwork through leading by example and always considering how their actions influence the broader team.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of software quality by providing feedback and suggestions for process enhancements.
- Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing and deployment processes.
- Analyze test results and work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
What We’re Looking For...
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or three or more years of work experience.
- Three or more years of relevant work experience
- Experience as an Automation Engineer with automation tools, developing software test plans, managing defects lifecycle using standard tools.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, Selenium.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GIT Lab and CICD platforms like Jenkins.
- Experience creating Process documentation (Methods & Procedures) and Process flows.
- Understanding using REST API call, Mongo Database, Mysql Groovy scripting.
- Understanding system architectures, system operations, end-to-end designs and device-system interactions.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changes, and strong appetite to learn new technologies.
- Knowledge with AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI.
- A good understanding of Microservices, Data Structures, Algorithms & Problem Solving.
- Familiarity with Wireshark, tshark, dumpcap, etc., capturing network traces and performing packet analysis
- Excellent teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience with 4G and 5G core network functions and platforms
- Experience leading Software development projects.
Core responsibilities.
- Bridge the Gap: Act as the central point of coordination between engineering, architecture, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth software deployment and clear communication of goals.
- Automate Everything: Build and maintain automation tools and pipelines to streamline operations, speed up development, and eliminate manual processes.
- Environment Management: Set up and maintain stable development, testing, and production environments based on developer guidelines and architecture standards.
- Ensure Reliability: Monitor application health and provide troubleshooting and support (24/5) to resolve issues and guarantee high system availability.
- Process Standards: Gather client requirements for DevOps implementation and establish the official standards and processes for how teams should build and deploy software.
You’ll Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Prior experience in development using Python and JavaScript.
- A degree in Business Administration, Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, or EE, or related field.
- Knowledge of software architecture, programming languages, virtualization, and the networking layers.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to lead technical discussions with a group of individuals in the industry with varying technical positions.
