Job Responsibilities :
- Weekly and daily planning of work allocation to the machines and workers based on the request from plants.
- Sequencing of Workshop machines based on priority keeping optimum utilisation of resources.
- Review manufacturing drawings and sketches received from users for correctness and adequacy.
- Review HOT TAP requests for adequacy coordinate & supervise hot tapping job.
- Monitoring quality of job and output from resources deployed..
- Ensuring availability and serviceability of the machines installed in workshop.
- Compliance of Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
- Spares and consumable Management for the work shop.
- Work on various alternatives for the repair and provide low cost option.
- Supervise and coordinate balancing of rotors in balancing machine at workshop.
- Plan and coordinate insitu machining, safety valve testing, lapping of seals and other work shop related services provided by vendors at site
- Budget preparation and monitoring for the central work shop
- Identify special tools/tackles required for user plants and maintain stock.
- Ensure all statutory requirement with respect to the tools, tackles, cranes and material handling equipment used in his work area are complied.
- Plan, provide and oversee the services required by plant during Turnaround / Shutdown.
- Follow and enforce applicable HSE procedure and practices.
- Co-ordinate the CSM activities in his work area.
- Training and competence building.
- Ensure excellent housekeeping and timely disposal of the scrape.
Education Requirement :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Requirement :
- At least 5 years (for Degree)/ 8 years (for Diploma) of maintenance experience with minimum 3 years in the central work shop / repair & rebuilding of parts
Skills & Competencies :
- Mechanical - Maintenance of Rotating & Static equipment.
- Knowledge of machining /production technology
- Knowledge of various codes, standards, AutoCAD & metrology
- Welding technology and welding of super alloys.
- Hot tapping methods.
- Repair techniques - cold welding, weld overlaying, metal stitching, metallizing etc.
- Metallurgical knowledge-Types of materials, heat treatment & properties.
- Inspection requirements, special inspection tools and methodology.
- Project Management, Planning and Scheduling techniques.
- Working Knowledge of various material handling equipment, cranes, hydra, forklifts, EOT etc.
- Understanding of various cross functional knowledge including Health and Safety.
- Excellent communication.
- Organizing & coordinating skill, Analytical thinking ability for planning and decision making
- Time management skill.
