Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Sourcing & Procurement Engineer to join our team in Nagpur. The candidate will play a critical role in establishing and strengthening the company’s sourcing, procurement, and supply chain operations to support manufacturing and product development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead vendor identification, evaluation, qualification, and development to build a strong, reliable, and scalable supplier ecosystem.
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities including RFQs, comparative analysis, commercial negotiations, purchase order release, and supplier coordination.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of raw materials, components, assemblies, consumables, and services aligned with production schedules and project timelines.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, value engineering, and long-term supplier partnerships.
- Develop and maintain procurement planning systems, inventory coordination, and material tracking mechanisms.
- Collaborate closely with design, production, quality, stores, logistics, and finance teams to ensure seamless operational execution.
- Monitor supplier performance with respect to quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and compliance standards.
- Support new product development activities through sourcing of prototype and production components.
- Establish procurement processes, documentation standards, and compliance mechanisms in line with organizational and industry requirements.
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, MIS reports, supplier databases, and commercial documentation.
- Stay updated with market trends, material pricing, supplier capabilities, and emerging sourcing opportunities.
