About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated SMT Engineer / Maintenance Engineer to support and improve our SMT and Wave Soldering production processes. The candidate will be responsible for machine operation, troubleshooting, process optimization, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement activities to achieve high productivity and quality standards.
The role involves handling SMT line equipment including Pick & Place machines, Solder Paste Printers, Reflow Ovens, and Wave Soldering Machines while ensuring high first-pass yield, minimal defects, and smooth production flow. The candidate will also support new product introductions (NPI), pilot runs, process validations, and OEE improvements.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
· SMT machine and wave soldering machine operations.
· Ensure high first-pass yield and minimal defects
· Pick and place, solder paste printer, reflow oven programming
· Maintain feeder setups and component libraries
· Program optimization for UPH improvements
· Troubleshooting the PICK and place, solder paste printer, reflow oven, wave soldering machine
· SMT and wave Process defect analysis
· Preventive maintenance SMT, Wave, Vacuum sealing, line Equipment’s, Jigs
· Spare maintenance and spares purchase within the budget
· Vendor coordination and AMC
· Data analysis SMT dropout, yield trends, defect trends
· Support new product trials and pilot runs
· Validate process capability for new PCB designs
· Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
· Create work instructions and SOPs
· Kaizen improvements
· OEE reports preparation
· Problem-solving and analytical thinking
LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU…
· Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field
· Minimum 5years experience in SMT manufacturing and Wave Soldering processes
· Strong knowledge of Pick & Place machines, Solder Paste Printers, Reflow Ovens, and Wave Soldering Machines
· Experience in feeder setup, component library management, and machine programming
· Good understanding of SMT defects, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
· Experience in preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting
· Knowledge of OEE, FPY, yield improvement, and process optimization
· Familiarity with spare management, vendor coordination, and AMC handling
· Ability to analyze production data, defect trends, and downtime reports
· Experience in supporting NPI, pilot runs, and process validation activities
· Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills
· Knowledge of Kaizen, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
