We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Sr. Engineer – CAE with a strong academic background and hands-on experience in advanced simulation and digital technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering, with
added expertise in vibration and dynamic analysis, and a passion for applying emerging technologies such as AI/ML and Digital Twin in engineering research and development.

Advanced Engineering team under the
Global Technical Centre is a core technical group that drives product innovation through advanced predictive engineering and analysis, providing critical simulation support for product development across multiple business units.
We partner with design and development teams to solve complex engineering challenges and validate product performance. We leverage the integration of AI/ML, Digital Twin technologies, and advanced scripting and automation tools into the product development lifecycle to enhance prediction accuracy, accelerate development cycles, and unlock new performance insights.
What You Will Do
- Perform in-depth analysis of critical product behaviors to drive engineering decisions, validate performance, and support customer-focused technical discussions.
- Perform vibration and dynamic analyses, including harmonic response, random vibration, and PSD-based fatigue assessments. Analyze and interpret vibration behavior of mechanical systems to improve durability, reliability, and performance.
- Implement scripting/coding solutions (Python, MATLAB, etc.) for automating simulations and integrating digital technologies.
- Explore and apply Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques in mechanical system modeling and data analysis.
- Handle Digital Twin development projects by creating virtual replicas of mechanical systems, enabling predictive analytics and continuous performance optimization.
- Ability to drive research and innovation in areas related to material modeling, mechanical simulations, and digital engineering is an added advantage.
- Ability to develop and validate FEA simulation material models such as hyperelastic, creep, and strain-rate dependent materials is an added advantage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on R&D projects from concept to validation.
- Investigate and develop technologies to enhance capabilities, reduce cost, and improve processes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Ph.D. or M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or related fields.
- Graduate from IITs or equivalent premier institutes preferred.
- Proven experience in conducting research or literature surveys in mechanical domains.
- Hands-on experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), including exposure to vibration and dynamic simulations.
- Proficiency in programming/scripting (Python, MATLAB, or equivalent).
- Exposure to AI/ML applications in engineering is desirable.
- Understanding of material characterization techniques and modeling of non-linear materials.
- Strong fundamentals in Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Dynamics, Physics, and Materials Engineering.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently and in teams.
- Good interpersonal and customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience collaborating with global cross-functional teams (design, testing, manufacturing, product management).
- Experience in advanced vibration analysis, including fatigue due to random loading, modal correlation, and test-simulation correlation.
- Involvement in patent filings, technical publications, or conference presentations.
- Experience handling large simulation datasets and applying statistical or data-driven methods for engineering insights.
- Knowledge of mechanical failure modes (fatigue, wear, delamination) and their integration into simulations.
- Demonstrated ownership of R&D projects from concept to validation with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in technical documentation and high-quality reporting.
