Role
Trane is excited to announce an opportunity for a committed and skilled
Service Technician – Chillers & HVAC to join our team. In this hands-on technical role, you will:
- Work on Advanced HVAC & Chiller Systems
- Commission and repair chillers and HVAC systems across various customer sites.
- Build Technical Mastery
- Strengthen your expertise in chiller servicing, troubleshooting, PPMs, and field operations.
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
- Conduct customer follow-ups, attend scheduled meetings, and ensure high satisfaction through timely and quality service.

- Coordinate with service teams, participate in weekly reviews, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote Safety and Operational Discipline
- Follow EHS guidelines, ensure vehicle compliance, and maintain strong documentation practices.

Where is the work: Mumbai
What Will You Do
As a Service Technician, you will support commissioning, servicing, customer interaction, and documentation for Chillers and HVAC systems. Responsibilities include:
- Commissioning of chillers and HVAC systems.
- Repairing all types of HVAC equipment.
- Managing customer follow-ups and attending scheduled meetings.
- Coordinating with the Service Coordinator for manpower planning, parts, and resource needs.
- Leading weekly discussions with the team on safety, site audits, and backlog updates.
- Updating the Service Manager and Coordinator with monthly plans.
- Attending and handling all models of chillers and low-side equipment as per company instructions.
- Performing timely PPM activities as per company SOPs.
- Conducting root-cause analysis for failures and sharing findings with the Quality team and FFL.
- Ensuring adherence to Trane’s EHS guidelines.
- Handling all customer service requirements efficiently.
- Generating leads during service interactions.
- Ensuring quality, timely completion of assigned service tasks.
- Submitting daily reports to the office and ASM.
- Sharing service reports with the deployer, including parts requirements.
- Maintaining a valid 4-wheeler/2-wheeler driving license.
- Following all safety and vehicle audit requirements.
- Applying practical experience in chiller installation, warranty tasks, and AMC services.
- Using MS Office, email, and internet applications effectively.

- Strong technical knowledge of chiller systems.
- Hands-on experience in commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting chillers.
- Customer service orientation and professionalism.
- Basic operational knowledge of MS Office, email, and internet tools.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
Qualification
- Graduation/Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, R&AC, Electrical, or Electronics.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience working on chillers in field service roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of chillers and HVAC systems.
