Role Description The Sr EHS Executive is responsible for overseeing day-to-day environmental, health, and safety activities within the manufacturing facility in Chennai. This full-time, on-site role includes monitoring compliance with EHS regulations, conducting workplace inspections, and ensuring implementation of safety procedures and environmental controls. The position involves developing and updating EHS policies, coordinating risk assessments, and supporting incident investigations and corrective actions. The Sr EHS Executive will organize safety trainings, maintain documentation and reports, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and HR teams to promote a strong safety culture. The role also requires supporting audits, liaison with regulatory authorities when needed, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in EHS performance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental, health, and safety management, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and control measures.
- Knowledge of relevant Indian EHS laws, regulations, and standards applicable to electrical/electronic manufacturing environments.
- Experience in conducting safety trainings, emergency preparedness drills, and awareness programs for diverse teams.
- Ability to develop, implement, and review EHS policies, procedures, and documentation, including incident reports and audit findings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address safety issues, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and influence safe work practices at all levels.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and basic EHS management tools for reporting, data analysis, and documentation.
- Preferred educational background: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications in EHS or industrial safety are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, ideally in electrical/electronic or automotive components, is highly beneficial.
