Job Purpose
To design, deliver, and manage scientifically robust, specialty-driven medical education programs across multiple therapeutic areas, ensuring structured surgeon development, standardized training delivery, and high-quality clinical learning aligned with global best practices, compliance standards, and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Design & Educational Strategy
- Design and deliver scientifically robust, specialty-wise curricula across TAVI, Endosurgery, Orthopaedics, Trauma, and Peripheral therapies.
- Translate surgical procedures, clinical workflows, and device usage into structured learning modules, competency frameworks, and assessment models.
- Ensure curricula are aligned with procedural adoption goals, clinical excellence benchmarks, and adult learning principles.
- Clinical Education Content Development
- Develop high-quality clinical education assets including handbooks, case libraries, procedural videos, digital learning content, and standardized evaluation tools.
- Ensure scientific accuracy, consistency, and standardization of all educational materials across academy platforms.
- Collaborate with clinical, R&D, regulatory, and quality teams to validate content and learning outcomes.
- Training Program Execution & Standardization
- Plan, execute, and standardize medical education programs across Centres for Clinical Excellence (CCE) and Meril Academy platforms.
- Coordinate OR-based learning programs with clinical directors, proctors, faculty members, and hospital teams.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory, ethical, and compliance requirements in all training and educational activities.
- Surgeon Development & Learning Pathways
- Design and manage observer ships, proctorships, and fellowship programs with clearly defined mentorship structures and outcome criteria.
- Build and track structured surgeon development journeys from foundational learning to procedural mastery.
- Align learning pathways with therapy adoption strategies and long-term clinical capability building.
- Program Monitoring, Reporting & Governance
- Monitor and evaluate program performance using dashboards and analytics covering participation, competency progression, training effectiveness, and ROI.
- Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and data integrity across all education programs.
- Support internal reviews, audits, and leadership reporting through structured insights and analysis.
- Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Academy teams for integrated education delivery.
- Coordinate with surgeons, proctors, medical faculties, and hospital administrators to ensure seamless program execution.
- Act as a key academic and operational interface between internal teams and external clinical stakeholders.
Qualifications And Experience
- Master’s / Bachelor’s in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, or a related scientific / medical field.
- 8–10 years of experience in clinical education, medical training, surgical education, or academy-based learning environments.
- Hands-on experience in OR-based training, hospital protocols, and surgeon education programs.
- Prior exposure to global education platforms such as IRCAD / PCR / AO is strongly preferred.

- Strong HCP coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent scientific writing, curriculum design, and instructional development capability.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stage, and multi-specialty training pathways.
- Strong planning, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a structured, problem-solving mindset.
- Comfortable working directly with surgeons, proctors, and medical faculties in high-acuity clinical environments.
