Job Description – Senior Dispatcher (Live Dispatch Operations) Department: Operations
Live Dispatch || Location: Noida (Onsite)|| Shift: Rotational / Night Shift (as per business requirements)
Role Summary
The Senior Dispatcher is responsible for managing real-time dispatch operations, coordinating with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, while ensuring timely execution of shipments and adherence to service levels.
This role requires strong operational expertise, the ability to handle escalations, monitor live dispatch activities, and support junior dispatch associates to ensure seamless transportation operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in international transportation/logistics operations, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Dispatch Operations
• Monitor and manage live dispatch activities to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments.
• Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and customers regarding shipment status, route changes, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure accurate dispatching, load assignments, and trip planning.
• Track shipments in real time and proactively resolve delays, exceptions, and operational issues.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, trip details, PODs, and transportation documentation
. • Ensure dispatch updates are recorded accurately in the dispatch management system. Operational Coordination • Collaborate with Inbound, Outbound, and Operations teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Coordinate with Canadian dispatch teams and internal stakeholders for effective execution of transportation activities.
• Handle operational escalations and provide timely resolutions.
• Support junior dispatch associates by providing guidance on operational queries and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with established SOPs and operational standards. Performance Monitoring
• Monitor daily dispatch performance against key operational KPIs.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Track shipment accuracy, service levels, and turnaround times. Documentation & Compliance • Maintain audit-ready dispatch documentation and shipment records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation procedures.
• Verify dispatch information, driver documentation, and trip records for accuracy.
• Support quality audits and operational reviews.

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree (Minimum Graduation).
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Live Dispatch, Transportation, Freight, or Logistics Operations.
• Experience working with North American transportation operations is highly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of dispatch software, transportation management systems (TMS), and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in mentoring or guiding junior dispatch associates will be an added advantage.
