As the Senior Director - Product Engineering at Company, you will lead and oversee the product architecture, security and safety architecture, performance architecture, program management for incubations, and frontend engineering functions. Reporting to the Chief AI Product Engineering Officer, you will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies that align with Company’s technological and business objectives. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-quality, secure, and innovative products that drive Company’s success.

Your key responsibilities
As the Senior Director - Product Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading multiple engineering functions to achieve Company’s strategic goals. Your role will encompass a range of activities focused on product architecture, security, performance, innovation, and frontend development.
- Lead and manage the Product Architecture, Security and Safety Architecture, Performance Architecture, Program Management for Incubations, and Frontend Engineering teams.
- Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and support to the team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the architecture teams.
- Oversee the design and development of scalable and robust product architectures.
- Ensure alignment of product architecture with business goals and technical requirements.
- Implement best practices for architecture design and development.
- Ensure the security and safety of products through robust architecture and design.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with security experts to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Oversee the design and implementation of performance optimization strategies for products.
- Ensure products meet performance requirements and deliver a seamless user experience.
- Implement performance testing and monitoring tools to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
- Lead and manage program management activities for product incubations.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of incubation projects from ideation to launch. Ensuring incubation projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee the development and delivery of frontend applications and user interfaces.
- Ensure frontend solutions are user-friendly, responsive, and aligned with design standards.
- Implement best practices for frontend development, including testing and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to align engineering activities with business goals.
- Prepare and present regular reports on engineering activities, progress, and outcomes to the Chief AI Product Engineering Officer and executive team.
Skills and attributes for success
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record of leading and managing diverse engineering teams.
- Experience with product architecture, security and safety architecture, performance optimization, program management, and frontend engineering.
