About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Container Operations Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, supporting, and maintaining RingCentral's containerization platforms, ensuring their stability, scalability, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in container orchestration, automation, and cloud infrastructure management. Your expertise will directly impact the reliability of our mission-critical services, supporting millions of users worldwide. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years of experience in Linux systems administration, demonstrating a strong understanding of networking fundamentals and operational best practices. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, and scripting languages like Python or similar is essential. A solid working knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration principles is required, along with familiarity with 24/7 production support environments and change management processes. Experience with AWS cloud platforms is a plus, as is a problem-solving mindset and a collaborative approach to team work. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, support, and maintain the company's Kubernetes clusters, including on-premises and AWS EKS environments.
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to resolve production issues efficiently and effectively.
• Manage on-call rotations covering services in India and U.S. regions to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
• Drive continuous improvements in platform stability, performance, and automation to optimize operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement scalable and secure container solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment and maintenance processes.
• Monitor system health, performance metrics, and security compliance to uphold high standards of service quality.
