About The Role

The Senior Data Scientist role at AB InBev GCC India is a pivotal position responsible for designing and implementing production-ready data science solutions that support the company's analytics initiatives. Based in Bangalore and reporting to the Senior Manager of Analytics, this role involves leading end-to-end data science projects, from data collection and preprocessing to model development, deployment, and performance monitoring. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with expertise in developing scalable AI-powered products that seamlessly integrate into business workflows. They will guide and mentor junior data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. The role requires a strategic mindset to create a data science roadmap aligned with organizational goals and a passion for staying updated with emerging trends in AI and data science.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. A strong academic background combined with practical experience is essential. Candidates should have at least five years of hands-on experience in data science or analytics roles, demonstrating a proven track record of building, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models for real-world applications. Technical proficiency in advanced programming in Python, SQL, and Excel is required, along with experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or Databricks. Familiarity with version control tools like Git and expertise in various statistical and machine learning techniques are also necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute comprehensive end-to-end data science projects, including data collection, preprocessing, model development, deployment, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Develop and maintain robust, reusable Python-based pipelines, ensuring code quality, standardization, and scalability.
• Collaborate with the Senior Analytics Manager to develop project plans and define the analytics roadmap, aligning data science initiatives with business objectives.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate complex analytical insights into actionable strategies, effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor and coach junior data scientists, fostering a collaborative environment focused on technical excellence, innovative thinking, and continuous learning.
• Drive the development of large-scale AI-powered products that integrate seamlessly into existing business workflows, ensuring operational efficiency and value creation.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in AI and data science, continuously refining methodologies and tools to maintain a competitive edge.
